About Us
Teeny Days Nursery has been running for several years, providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for babies, toddlers and pre-school children in Luton and the surrounding areas. The staff are fully qualified, with a wealth of experience. In June 2019, the Nursery was taken over by myself, Tahareem Farquhar. I have a bachelors degree in Psychology from the University College of London and a PGCE in Primary Education from the Institute of Education in London. For over twenty years, I have been working in education, teaching and nurturing children locally in Luton, nationally and internationally and aiming to give them the best foundation possible in all areas of learning. I have a vision with my staff to create an outstanding provision for all children living in the local area. Between us we have a plethora of knowledge and experience of managing and delivering childcare.
We acknowledge that practitioners play a crucial part in the childcare sector and at Teeny Days Nursery we realise the need to invest in them. Our nursery is staffed with carefully selected, highly motivated nursery professionals, to ensure your child receives the highest quality care and education.
Our aim and vision
Our aim is to achieve the highest quality day care provision for children and their families, enabling children to develop to their full potential within a safe, caring and happy environment. Our approach to childcare is one underpinned by allowing each child to explore, discover and learn.
To achieve this we will:
• Provide a “home from home” environment meeting the needs of the individual child through positive parent partnerships
• Offer a wealth of opportunities to explore, discover and learn within safe and stimulating surroundings
• Have a flexible approach to planning activities based around the EYFS framework
• Allow learning experiences to be adapted, extended and child centered
FREE 15 hrs for your 2 year old
Families who are claiming benefits and/or have a joint income of no more than £16,190 may be able to apply for up to 15 hours per week of free early education and childcare for their two year old children.
This can give you more time to take up a college course or return to work, as well as give your child the opportunity to learn, play with friends, experience new activities and get ready for school.
